How are Schools Using Web 2.0?


  • Students and teachers both consult Wikipedia.
  • Teachers are blogging for their classes. (3 CEA teachers currently do this: Megan, Nina, and Jenny)
  • Teachers are involving students in writing blogs. (search Google for the book Secret Life of Bees for a striking example)
  • Classes are using wikis to create and store class projects.
  • Students are creating videos for class and posting them to YouTube and the like. (The Causes of World War I is an example)
  • Students are having conversations with experts in the field. (see this interview with nanotech expert Earl Boysen)
